David Okagbue became the latest Saddler to make the step-up to League One this summer when he joined Peterborough United on Monday - following Taylor Allen, Liam Gordon and Ryan Stirk out the door.

Evan Weir is expected to step-up to replace Allen with Derby County loanee Dan Cox set to provide strong competition. Sadler has also bolstered his options on both sides at wing-back, although the midfield area still needs investment.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Jackson Smith and 2023-24 top scorer Isaac Hutchinson departed for Barnsley and Bristol Rovers respectively during the previous summer.
