The Norwich academy graduate who went on to play around 100 games for the club before a move to Newcastle United - is out of contract having departed the Magpies in this summer following a loan spell at Sao Paulo.

The reports emerged on Tuesday that his former club Norwich, as well as a number of other clubs including Albion were reportedly looking at Lewis.

And the news is unsurprising for a number of reasons.

There is the left back issue that has maybe not been a big issue for Albion in recent years, but it has always been there.
