Ex-West Brom player admired by Carlos Corberan added to PFA pre-season camp squad
Some players released by Albion this summer are still looking for clubs - while there are others let go by West Brom in recent years who are still looking for their latest move.
On ex-Baggie looking for a club is Adam Reach, released by Albion last summer following three years at the club.
He featured in the club's play-off semi-final defeat to Southampton, before heading for the exit door.
Reach played 78 times for Albion after arriving on a free transfer from Sheffield Wednesday.
He was without a club last season until early in 2025 - when he signed a short term deal with Wycombe Wanderers.
Reach featured in the play-offs again for a second straight year - but he couldn't help the Chairboys as they were beaten by Charlton Athletic.
After his latest departure - Reach was still looking for a new club and has recently been added to the PFA pre-season squad.
The squad was set up to put out of contract players through their paces, keep them fit and help them find new clubs.
They take part in pre-season games against Football League and non-league outfits - and a former Baggie has already seen success after joining the squad earlier this summer.
After doing a pre-season with the squad, John Swift went on to pen a two year deal at Portsmouth.
And now it seems that Reach is looking to do the same.
Why was West Brom boss such a fan of Reach?
In his three years at Albion, Reach never spent too long as a firm regular. Some fans were divided over him, even though it was acknowledged he always gave 100 per cent.
And there was one Albion manager he played under who held him in high regard.
Reach was signed under Valerien Ismael - before turning out for Steve Bruce and Carlos Corberan.
And it was the latter who rated him the highest, repeatedly outlining why he liked Reach and how he was key to his side.
In one interview, he said: "We needed to be fresh in the middle and Reach is a player who can give you attacking possibilities.
“From the physical perspective he doesn’t have any type of limitation. From the technical perspective either. From the tactical perspective, even less, because he is clever, he is committed and he is a player who gives you everything.”
