Explained: The strange circumstances which brought Australian cricket star Brett Lee to Lichfield
There are plenty of things you might expect to see at a midweek club cricket match.

But it is fair to say the presence of one of the fastest bowlers to have ever played the sport would not be among them.
Little wonder, then, that Brett Lee’s attendance in Lichfield to watch their T20 match with Cannock on Wednesday night was the cause for much excitement among the crowd.
To the relief of batters the former Australia quick, one of only three men to ever break the 100mph barrier, was only there as a spectator.
Lee, who played 76 Tests and more than 200 ODIs in a glittering career, might be 48 now but you suspect his deliveries still have some zip, even if his hair now misses the blonde highlights of his youth.
