There was a familiar face on show in the second half when former midfielder Romaine Sawyers returned on trial

The 33-year-old has been with Walsall at Essington for the past week and Mat Sadler also revealed after the game that he featured in the 3-0 win over Hereford behind-closed-doors on Saturday. 

Sawyers played the final half-hour in holding midfield after replacing Brandon Comley.
