Albion kicked off their summer transfer window with bringing in Nat Phillips from Liverpool.

He was soon followed by the £4.7m addition of striker Aune Heggebo from Brann.

And now a third new face is set to come through the door in the coming days.

US international defender George Campbell was linked to Albion earlier in the window - with Bristol City also said to be making a move.

But earlier this week it seemed that West Brom had won the race to bring in the defender, for a reported £1m.

The 24-year-old joined Montreal from Atlanta, where he came through the academy, and has become one of the rising stars of the MLS in recent years.

Talks have been ongoing between the two parties, and the latest is that Albion are set to complete the addition in the coming days.

Campbell will the second defensive addition of the window for Albion - after Phillips' arrival.

It will leave Albion with five centre backs, including Kyle Bartley, Torbjorn Heggem and Caleb Taylor - while Campbell can also provide cover at right back.
