The West Brom youngster who made just one league appearance after rising from non-league makes latest switch
Quevin Castro was tipped for big things at West Brom after being picked up from non-league.
But it never quite materialised in that way for the big midfielder - who has now made his latest move back in the non-league system.
Born in Portugal, time in at Sporting CP was followed by a move to England where Castro bounced around non-league teams, before trialling with a host of big clubs.
Eventually, following a trial at Albion he bagged a two year contract at The Hawthorns, making his senior debut in a 6-0 defeat against Arsenal in the EFL Cup.
He impressed for the club's youth sides, and was handed his one and only league appearance from the bench as Albion were beaten by Swansea in February 2022.
He then went out on loan to Burton Albion - with the loan terminated less than six weeks later.
A move to Notts County and then Gateshead followed, before his Albion days were numbered and he moved back into non-league with York City,
And his career since has been similar to the start - as he then went out on loan to King's Lynn last year.
This week he made his latest move, rocking up at National League South side Chelmsford City.
