The competition takes place over two days from 11-12 July at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.

On the track, Aupromeyo Mukherjee lines up in the Junior Boys 100m, while Samantha Agomoh is taking on the Junior Girls 200m.

Isobelle Jones has been selected for the Senior Girls 1500m and Grace Hendy will be competing in the Intermediate Girls 3000m.

Elsewhere, Joshua Welford will take part in the Senior Boys 200m.

Taking to the field, Ethan Kendrick will start in the Senior Boys Hammer, while Aisha Abdullah also features in the Hammer event in the Intermediate Girls.

"There are potential podium places available if you include the x4 100m Mixed Junior relay which Aupro and Sam will be involved in," club coach Claudio Albanese said.

"I've been here before and had success with a number of athletes from this club and this is the highlight of any secondary school athlete from any country to be selected for these Championships.

"For me, it's a crucial competition for an athlete to develop and gain the experience for a future track and field. It's exciting and nervous for all athletes, not just for the ones from this club, but for all who're competing.

"Some may experience their first one this weekend, others might have been here before, but you can still feel the tension when it gets down to serious business.

“From the cliché, 'it’s not just about the winning but for the taking part'. Our athletes have already made the club happy and proud on there achievements to get here. You can’t predict what might happen but I’m confident on having a podium placing or two”.
