West Brom 14 goal striker issues focussed message after SPL loan move confirmed
West Brom youngster Eseosa Sule is hoping he can follow in the footsteps of other youngsters who have cut their teeth on loan at Motherwell.
The 19-year-old forward followed up signing a new two year contract extension at West Brom by joining the Fir Park men on loan until the end of the campaign.
Sule, who began his career with Celtic before making the move to Albion and excelling in the academy, heads back north for his first taste of loan action.
Motherwell confirmed the signing earlier this week - and Sule is delighted to be making a temporary move back to Scotland.
And the teenager stated that he wants to be the next youngster who can further their development out on loan, getting regular senior minutes.
He said: "I’m excited for this move.
“The chance to get regular first-team minutes was an opportunity I couldn’t say no to. This move makes sense. Being from the area, I know the club and what it means to the supporters.
“Many players have come here, and it has helped their development. I hope to be the next player to experience that.”
Sule had signed professional terms at Celtic after spending a decade in the club's academy, before deciding to make the move down to Albion in 2023.
On his 17th birthday, he penned a professional deal after catching the eye for the under 18s and Premier League 2 side.
Last season, he played 14 times in all competitions, which came after he was handed his first senior appearance as a substitute in last season's EFL Cup defeat to Fleetwood.
Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou added: "He’s a young forward with very interesting attributes. His speed, athleticism and ball-striking are all impressive.
“Growing up not far from here, he already has a strong link to the area, which has enabled him to settle in very fast.
"He is a positive, energetic and eager young man who possesses great potential, and we really look forward to developing him into a very valuable and game-decisive player for the team.”
