Wragg joined Halesowen on loan during the second half of the season and scored twice in 17 outings to help them reach the play-off semi-finals.

The 18-year-old was forced to play second-choice to Kieran Donnelly who finished the campaign with 24 goals in the Southern League Premier Central.

However, Penn feels that experience will only make him stronger, and credited Wragg for helping his main marksman Donnelly raise his levels amid such fierce competition.

"Even the experience of not playing, sometimes you can learn so much more from that," Penn said.

"I know he had a fantastic time at our club albeit he probably didn't get the game time he wanted but he was in a successful team.

"Personally he would've wanted to have played more but we had the top goal scorer in the league and we play with one up front.
