Walsall signing Courtney Clarke is capable of "handling big occasions"
Former Eastbourne Borough boss Adam Murray insists Walsall summer signing Courtney Clarke is capable of delivering in the "big occasions".
Clarke will join Walsall on a two-year deal with the option of a further year after rejecting a new contract with the National League South side.
The 22-year-old, who predominantly plays as a right wing-back but can also been deployed in midfield, scored three goals and set-up four more in 37 appearances in the sixth-tier last season.
He played a key role for The Sports as they finished just a single point behind eventual champions Truro City and his former manager Murray has hailed his big-game mentality.
"We were in a position where we were going for the title," Murray explained. "There is pressure to win every game and we had some big games, especially towards the back end of the season.
