It all comes down to this.

10 months, 58 games, 5,220 minutes played. 32 home games, 26 away trips, 5,568 miles travelled.

29 wins, 15 draws and 14 defeats. 93 goals scored, 68 conceded. It's been a long season packed with more highs and lows than perhaps any season that has gone before.

Walsall steamrolled their way to the top of League Two in January, crowning a 16-match unbeaten run with a club record nine-match winning streak.

The good times looked set to keep on rolling until a midseason collapse saw them collect a mere three wins from their final 21 games.

As if that wasn't dramatic enough, Walsall missed out on automatic promotion in the final seconds of the regular season at local rivals Crewe Alexandra.

But this team keeps fighting, never accepting that promotion had passed them by. Many have doubted them, myself included at times, but a trip to Wembley is the best possible way to end one of the craziest seasons in memory.
