Walsall favourite determined for Wembley joy and personal milestone
Boss Mat Sadler has revealed veteran Walsall favourite Albert Adomah is determined to sign off for the season with promotion and a personal milestone.
Adomah, 37, was a hero of last week's League Two play-off semi-final second leg and, with just the Wembley showpiece left this season, is on 99 goals for his career, which has spanned two decades.
Super-sub Adomah emerged from the bench for the final 15 minutes and laid on both goals in the second leg success over Chesterfield.
Head coach Sadler admitted it would be a "fitting" way to help his side to historic play-off glory if Adomah could reach the century milestone.
"He was great, wasn't he? He really was," Sadler smiled.
"He was just himself. What a fantastic guy and career. You speak about his experience, him as a person, he's got a youthfulness that I think all of us wish we'd have when we get to his age - and I don't see that changing any time soon!
