Only goal difference separates Albion from Bristol City in seventh spot while there is just a six-point buffer between sixth and 12th.

Here, we predict how the rest of the season could pan out and when the Baggies could seal their fate.

Current Position: 6th

Points: 57

When is the earliest they can secure a play-off place?

Sixth-placed Albion are only clear of Bristol City on goal difference, with Middlesbrough another three points further back.

It would take four wins in a row - and defeats for all rivals - to put Tony Mowbray's men home and hosed.

Obviously that will not happen. Albion have not won consecutive games since September - now is the time to finally put that painful run to bed, but Albion's next five fixtures are all against rivals currently 13th or higher.
