Leeds 1 West Brom 1: Player ratings as several Baggies impress at Elland Road
Albion put in a battling display full of ambition to claim a deserved share of the spoils at Leeds.
The Baggies rallied at Elland Road after conceding a poor opening goal to the league leaders and Darnell Furlong looped in a header before the break to earn a point.
Boss Tony Mowbray was pleased with how his side performed and said the manner of the display away at the best side in the division should inspire confidence.
We assess the Albion performers from West Yorkshire.
Joe Wildsmith
Played a really poor part in the goal by giving it to the hosts before failing to claim James' cross, allowing an easy header for Firpo. Kicking struggled at times but composed after to help secure point.
Error 6
Darnell Furlong
The goal hero for his first of the season and went closest to a second for Albion late on. Otherwise it was not the right-back's calmest display with some loose pieces of possession.
Mixed 6
Kyle Bartley
Back in the side from suspension and played his part in an impressive rearguard display. Will not be happy with part in goal though as he let Firpo go. Responded very well.
Responded 7
Torbjorn Heggem
Another who struggled with a slight wobble early on but really grew into the clash with a composed display. Made fine recovery challenges and countless interceptions.
