West Brom new boy a sponge for advice as he catches the eye

Albion new boy Tammer Bany has been praised for an eager-to-learn attitude in his early weeks at the club.

Danish attacking midfielder Bany, 21, made a £3.3million move from Randers in his homeland to The Hawthorns towards the end of the transfer window.

Bany finally made his first Baggies appearance as a late substitute in Saturday's win over Oxford and laid on his side's second goal for John Swift deep into stoppage time of the 2-0 victory.

Boss Tony Mowbray has been impressed with what he has seen in training, too, both from a technical perspective and from the attacker's desire to learn.

"I'm pleased for him, he's a nice kid," Mowbray said of Bany. "He knocks on my door every day and talks about how he wants to get better, wants to learn about English football and learn what his job is.
