Absence of key Walsall pair in Morecambe win explained
Mat Sadler says he wants to protect Walsall defender Harry Williams after he sat out their 2-0 win over Morecambe at the Mazuma Stadium on Saturday.
Williams was forced off in the 3-1 success over Chesterfield at Bescot just over a week ago but Sadler confirmed the 23-year-old was available for selection after training in the build-up to the Morecambe game.
However, Williams was an unused substitute on the Lancashire coast and Sadler revealed that he feels that the centre-back needs a breather.
Sadler said: "Harry will run through brick walls for anybody. I just felt like, he has come out of training a few times and his legs are bandaged up.
"I thought, just have a breather for a few games. I gave him one before (in the 2-1 defeat at Colchester) and maybe that wasn't quite enough.
