The struggling Pilgrims host the Baggies on the back of a big point on the road at Sunderland.

And heading in Saturday's clash they will have a bolstered backline, after completing the signing of Ukrainian international Maksym Talovierov.

The 24-year-old has joined the Home Park side from Australian club LASK, having also spent time at Slavia Prague.

The defender has been capped a handful of times by his country - and is in line to make his debut against Albion on Saturday.

Argyle boss Miron Muslic said: “I have been open since I joined Argyle that we would be patient to bring in the right players who could help the team.

“In Maksym we feel we have done just that as he is a commanding presence who will add height and physicality to the side, but he is also good on the ball and technically good.

“Most importantly, he is a good defender and will strengthen our options in the defensive department of the squad. I am really pleased to bring him to the club and look forward to working with him.”
