The game against West Ham tomorrow is perhaps the least exciting of the three matches Villa will play over the next week.

Fans, players and even Emery himself, who of course would never admit it, will have half an eye on what will undoubtedly be a huge clash at Villa Park on Wednesday evening as they welcome Celtic to the West Midlands.

Villa passed up the opportunity to seal their place in the Champions League top eight on Tuesday night after a 1-0 defeat in Monaco.

And now, a win against Celtic, as well as other results going their way, will cement a place in the final stages of the competition.

After that, there are local bragging rights at stake. They make the short trip to Molineux for a local derby against Vitor Pereira's Wolves team - who are scraping for every point.

And so the home game against the Hammers, who they only played just over two weeks ago in the FA Cup, could be classed as something of an inconvenience for Emery's team.
