The versatile midfielder, who has been a long-term target of sporting director Andrew Nestor and head of football operations Ian Pearce, has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal at The Hawthorns.

The Express & Star understands the fee for the Northern Ireland international is around £2.5 million, and now, Albion's priority is to land a striker before the transfer window closes on February 3.

Price moved to Belgian outfit Standard in 2023 signing a four-year contract which was due to run until 2027.

The 21-year-old featured for Liege in Sunday night’s 2-1 win over Sint-Truidense and is a central midfielder capable of playing in a deeper or more offensive role.

He has six goals in 18 caps for Northern Ireland, including a hat-trick against Bulgaria in the Nations League earlier this season.
