West Brom former boss update as search for Carlos Corberan replacement rumbles on
Albion return to Championship action on Saturday against Stoke yet to have appointed a new manager or head coach.
The Baggies lost Carlos Corberan to Valencia more than three weeks ago and the search has been a lengthy one - with former number one choice Raphael Wicky out of the running after advanced talks broke down over staffing.
Another candidate who made the club's interview shortlist process was former title-winning manager Tony Mowbray, who has taken time out of the game to recover from bowel cancer.
Mowbray, 61, would not return to work until final health scans on Tuesday.
