Browne is still awaiting his league debut for the Saddlers but has impressed in wins over Shrewsbury Town and Reading respectively in the EFL Trophy.

The 20-year-old, who arrived on a free transfer in September, has played centre-back and right wing-back in his two appearances for the club so far. He also shone at right-back during his recent one-month loan spell at National League side Tamworth.

Sadler has been pleased with the early signs shown by the former Birmingham City academy defender and feels he is capable of fulfilling even more positions across the pitch.

He said: "Rico did another job for us against Reading. He played right wing-back which good to see that. He is a really versatile player who can probably go into midfield as well which I thought about doing the other night.

"Him alongside some of the other guys, we'll need everyone with all the games we've had and all the games we've got. We're going to need everyone this season.
