West Brom v Coventry preview: Boss wants side to clean up details
Carlos Corberan has urged his Albion players to clean up their finishing in the box to take advantage of spells on top.
The Baggies were much-improved against league leaders Sheffield United on Sunday and aim to replicate or improve on those levels against Coventry at The Hawthorns tonight.
But despite a dominant first 30 minutes against the Blades, in which Corberan's men deserved their 1-0 lead, the Yorkshiremen struck back with two goals in as many minutes to punish some Albion defensive sloppiness.
Corberan's side responded to claim their point in the 2-2 draw and the head coach's message to his squad has now been that Albion must take advantage of dangerous attacks they create, rather than letting opponents off the hook. Prior to Torbjorn Heggem's opener on Sunday, the hosts tested United's backline with a number of wicked deliveries, but could not find the finish.
Albion's head coach said ahead of the visit of Frank Lampard's Sky Blues: "Yes, that is the football we want to do (replicate the start against the Blades). We want to attack and not concede a chance. After the game we have a document where we look at our chances and it is clear in the first 30 minutes we didn't concede and created more.
