The captain was withdrawn at half-time against Brighton last week with a calf issue that O'Neil described as 'minor'.
But they are now expecting him to be fit.
O'Neil said: "Mario has trained a couple days. We'll do some checks on him tomorrow but we're hopeful that he'll be OK."
