We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

Wolves

One player who's attracting interest from across the Championship is Danny Ward, and Wolves could be tempted to go for the striker.

The Millers front man is into the final six months of his contract has scored 10 goals this season, and a number of bids have made already this January for his services.

However, with Lambert acquiring Andreas Weimann on-loan, any links with Ward might have been dashed.

West Brom

West Brom are in talks with Watford over the signing of Odion Ighalo.

Pulis could be keen on the Nigerian striker who lit up the Premier League in the first half of last season.

The Watford man has bagged two goals so far this campaign, once in the Premier League and once in the cup.

Meanwhile, it's thought that Tony Pulis could snubbed by Jose Fonte who favours a move to West Ham.

The Southampton defender is set to leave St. Mary's, although it seems Albion could miss out on their man.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa defender Jordan Amavi is reportedly set to turn down a move to Marseilles.

Some reports suggest that the French club even had a contract ready for Amavi to sign before he confirmed his desire to stay at Villa Park.

The frenchman was rumoured to be a target for clubs in China too, with Villa believed to have turned down a bid of £25m.

Odds have also been cut on Ross McCormack leaving Villa.

The striker has failed to hit the form he showed last season in the Championship, leading bookmakers to cut prices on him leaving for pastures new.

Clubs including Fulham, Leeds and Derby have been linked.

Walsall

All quiet at the Banks's.
