Transfer Rumours - January 16th
Expressandstar.com brings you all of the latest transfer talk from Wolves, West Brom, Aston Villa and Walsall.
Wolves
Wolves aren't halting their hunt for Ben Marshall, with talk of a £1.3m bid being enough to persuade Blackburn to part with the versatile attacker.
The 25-year-old has links with Paul Lambert from his time at Ewood Park, and with Wolves eager for Championship experience it would prove a sound and inexpensive move.
Meanwhile, former Wolves star Robbie Keane has been linked with a move to Preston as he eyes a late career move.
Keane has left LA Galaxy, and had spells at Spurs, Aston Villa and Liverpool in the past. However, his wage demands may be a sticking point for the Deepdale outfit.
West Brom
West Brom have joined Stoke and Aston Villa in the race for Egyptian striker Basem Morsy.
The Zamalek front man is rated at £5m, and has drawn interest within the Premier League and Championship.
The Egyptian international has scored four times in 11 appearances in the Egyptian Premier League this season.
Meanwhile, Tony Pulis is also eager to add Blackburn Rovers captain Jason Lowe to his squad.
Lowe's made over 140 appearances for the club, but his contract comes to an end in the summer, perking interest around the country.
The midfielder would add some younger blood to an ageing area of the pitch at The Hawthorns.
Aston Villa
Aston Villa are set to sign Germany U20s starlet Anton Donkor from VfL Wolfsburg.
The young winger is down the pecking order at the German club, but has showed plenty of promise for the future.
Reports suggest he'll train at Villa whilst a deal is finalised.
Steve Bruce is also plotting a move for Watford midfielder Adlene Guedioura.
The Hornets recently brought in Tom Cleverley on-loan, meaning Guedioura has fallen further down the ranks at Vicarage Road.
A £3m bid is likely to be made by Bruce to try and bag the experienced Algerian.
Walsall
All quiet at the Banks's.
