Rushall Olympic picked up their first win of the season with a deserved 2-0 victory at Mickelover Sports.
It was a bright start by Rushall, who went close within the opening couple of minutes when Brad Lawley fired just over from a corner and then Josh McKenzie seized upon a mistake by the home defence, only to be denied by the keeper, who recovered well to block Alex Reid's follow-up.
The opening goal finally arrived for The Pics right on the stroke of half-time when a free-kick from Jordan Fitzpatrick was delivered perfectly on to the head of Reid, who made no mistake.
Chances were at a premium in the second period but with an hour gone, a positive break by Reid ended with his powerful drive well saved.
A mistake by the keeper presented Reid with his second goal on 75 minutes as he failed to deal with a back-pass and the Pics' man capitalised.
