Boro to land deals for Pics duo
Stafford Rangers are poised to seal the double signing of Mitchell Tolley and Kris Taylor from Rushall Olympic.
Boss Neil Kitching has swooped to land the duo from his former employers at Dales Lane ahead of Rangers' return to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.
Defensive midfielder Tolley had been a popular member of the Pics' squad after arriving in 2010, where he picked up Players' Player and Manager's Player of the Year across his six seasons with Rushall.
Left-sided player Taylor will be fondly remembered by Walsall supporters after his 82 appearances across five years at the club.
The former Manchester United schoolboy also had stints at Hereford United and Port Vale before a season at Hednesford – where he made the headlines after playing on through a battle with testicular cancer.
n Midfielder Tom Thornley has agreed a deal to remain at Hednesford Town.
Thorley, who signed for the club in November 2013, will also take on the role as club captain.
The 26-year-old said: "It is an absolute honour to be named as captain of Hednesford Town Football Club. I have enjoyed my time immensely since arriving at the club and I'm firmly looking forward to the coming season."
