Matt Gardiner to join John Eustace at the helm for Kidderminster Harriers
Matt Gardiner is set to join new Kidderminster Harriers boss John Eustace as the pair set plans for life in the National League North next season.
Former Stoke man Eustace is embarking on his first job as a manager and is set to be supported by current Worcester City joint-boss Gardiner – who brings a wealth of local non-league experience.
The pair are set to meet up tomorrow as the Harriers – still overlooked by interim boss and chief executive Colin Gordon – head to in-form Southport (kick-off 5.30pm)
Hosts Southport, who will be finishing a third successive season in non-league's top tier, are entering a fresh era under new boss Andy Bishop.
The Cannock-born former Walsall striker welcomes Harriers after an impressive stint as caretaker boss at Haig Avenue following the departure of Dino Maamria.
Bishop, 33, did not feature for Walsall's first-team, but after coming through the academy enjoyed two loan spells at Aggborough before fine stints at York City and Bury.
Tunisian cult hero Maamria left Merseyside due to 'personal and family reasons' and was said to be homesick.
Since Maamria's exit, Bishop – alongside Craig Madden and Gary Jones – have overseen proceedings, where the Yellows have lost just once since.
That solo defeat came just days after the departure of Maamria.
A run of six games undefeated – three wins and three draws – has pulled Southport away from any lingering drop zone fears and they now sit comfortably in mid-table, 15th and nine points clear of the drop.
Harriers' Villa loanee Liam Kinsella is likely to be sidelined for the last game of his impressive loan spell with a calf injury.
