Boro could clinch the Evo-Stik First Division South title against Basford United on Saturday, as long as they better the result of Shaw Lane Aquaforce.

Johnson, who has made 38 appearances this season, will play no part at Marston Road though, or at Coalville Town on the final day.

Veteran Wayne Daniel, who has been on the bench in recent games to rest his hamstring, is expected to take Johnson's place and start alongside Leon Miles.

Tom Marshall and Spencer Gunnell are options too.

Boss Neil Kitching says he was are of the trip before Christmas, and is confident that he has enough cover for the two crucial games.

"We have known about JJ going on a long holiday, travelling the world, since before Christmas," he said.

"We have got ample cover, generally we have got good cover in all positions and what better replacement is there than a fresh Shoota (Wayne Daniel)?"
