We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves are set to agree a deal to sign 18-year-old Newport County striker Aaron Collins

The Wales Under-19 international was being chased by Championship side Burnley in the summer, and the Clarets had two bids rejected in the final week of the transfer window.

Wolves have had a bid in the region of £3m turned down by Nantes for striker Emiliano Sala.

The striker has scored two goals in 10 appearances this season, but only joined the club in the summer, and Nantes seemingly believe they have no reason to sell someone who joined such a short time ago

WEST BROM

Newcastle United have threatened to pull out of moves for Saido Berahino and Andros Townsend after failing to agree a deal.

Three Premier League clubs are battling to sign Queens Park Rangers winger Matt Phillips.

Newcastle United are the latest side to express an interest after talks with Tottenham Hotspur for winger Andros Townsend broke down, joining Bournemouth and West Bromwich Albion in the race for the QPR midfielder.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa are reportedly in talks over a transfer for former Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic this January.

The Serbian defender is a free agent after leaving Inter Milan, and could be set for a quick return to the Premier League with Remi Garde's struggling side.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
