The club, which is based at the Walsall Gala Baths, is run entirely by volunteers and has been teaching and coaching the sport of Synchronised Swimming for over 40 years.

Many Great Britain representatives have been produced by the club over its long history in the sport and they continue to compete at local, regional and national levels.

Heather Ratcliffe, owner of Swimtime West Midlands, named franchise of the year in 2015, said: "We are proud to sponsor a local club in the area.

"We ourselves deliver extensive swimming lesson programs in the local area and it has been great to work alongside another local swimming club.

"It's great to see children progress and enjoy swimming in a uniquely different way from the grass roots that we provide at Swim-time.

"We are looking forward to working closely with Walsall Synchronised Swimming Club in the future, and passing on our swimmers that express an interest in the sport."

Head coach Amy Baker said: "It's fantastic to receive financial support from any business that can help us.

"But it's particularly special to gain support from a swimming organisation who share our love of the water.

"The funding Swimtime have donated has enabled us to purchase new tracksuits and T-shirts for competitions to ensure our swimmers look smart when we travel to competitions.

"This will hopefully be more than a sponsorship arrangement as we can work together to support each other and get more people enjoying the water."

Walsall Synchronised Swimming Club offer sessions for young beginners (male or female) to try out the sport on Saturday mornings on selected dates during the year.
