Silver for Tennant at the Track World Cup
Wolverhampton rider Andy Tennant secured silver from the men's individual pursuit at the Track World Cup in Colombia.
The 28-year-old was narrowly beaten to top spot by Germany's Domenic Weinstein, missing out by 2.026 seconds.
And a gear change may have cost him his chance of gold.
The Wiggins team rider, who claimed the Wiltshire Grand Prix Premier Road Race title earlier in the year, qualified with a new personal best of four minutes, 19.992 seconds.
But he switched to a bigger gear in the final and finished the 4000m ride in 4:22.095 seconds.
It was his first ever World Cup medal in the event. Tennant also secured gold last month in the British National Track Championships.
He said: "The qualifier was a lot better than the final. It's my first world cup medal in an IP, so it's nice. I'm pretty pleased.
"I went on a 108 (gear in the final) and it was just too big for me. I used 106 in qualification." Russia's Dmitry Sokolov took bronze.
