Transfer Rumours - October 9
Expressandstar.com bring you all of the latest transfer talk from Wolves, West Brom, Aston Villa and Walsall.
We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.
WOLVES
Wolves boss Kenny Jackett could be secretly hoping that a change in ownership could herald a rethink of the club's transfer policy.
Owner Steve Morgan has preferred to sign players who are under the age of 24, but insiders speculate that Jackett wants more experience.
That could lead to a switch in ethos should the club be sold, with the head coach having full power on the targets he's planning to bring in.
WEST BROM
West Brom are thought to be planning a £7million for Scotland international Andrew Robertson to solve their left-back woes in January.
With Sebastien Pocognoli out-of-favour with boss Tony Pulis, midfielder Chris Brunt has had to regularly drop into the role for the Baggies.
That's only a short-term fix so Robertson, who went down from the Premier League with Hull City, may be turned to in the next transfer window.
ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa are ready to rival Premier League rivals Everton to land 'one for the future' in Bury's teenage defender Matthew Fould.
The 17-year-old has already made his debut for the League One Shakers, who have now taken him out of the team to protect his value.
Bids are already on the table for the centre-back, with both Villa and the Toffees of the opinion he could be the next big thing.
WALSALL
All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
