We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

One train of thought in Wolves' chase of Cardiff City striker Joe Mason is that there has been no official bid come from Molineux as yet.

Some sources expect that these claims have actually stemmed from his club's end, as they look to offload the striker for a size-able transfer fee.

Wolves are, realistically, keen but may wait to see if they drive down the £3million asking price, as they are not willing to go above £2m.

WEST BROM

West Brom are also looking at Hull City utility man Robbie Brady, who had been emerging as a transfer target for West Midlands rivals Villa.

Premier League new-boys Norwich City are also keen on the Republic of Ireland international, who has performed well for his relegated club.

Brady can operate anywhere down the left hand side, which would appeal to the Baggies as they seek permanent left-back and wing options.

The 23-year-old has been a regular for the Tigers in the top-flight, so won't want to drop into the Championship. He would cost £4million.

ASTON VILLA

Villa have Burnley No 1 Tom Heaton on their list of goalkeeping targets, with the likelihood that first-choice Brad Guzan is to be replaced.

Guzan finished the season out of the team, with veteran Shay Given starting the FA Cup final. Third-choice Jed Steer may leave this summer.

Heaton could be willing to leave Turf Moor after the Clarets were relegated from the Premier League and a £5million bid could secure a deal.

WALSALL

Walsall manager Dean Smith reckons former Saddlers star Emmanuel Ledesma, a free agent after his release from Middlesbrough, is out of the club's price range.
