We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Crystal Palace are pondering cutting a deal to extend Kevin Doyle's stay on loan from Wolves until the end of the striker's contract in the summer.

The Republic of Ireland international netted his first goal in Saturday's FA Cup win at Dover Athletic and impressed new manager Alan Pardew.

WEST BROM

New West Brom boss Tony Pulis has told the club's hierarchy he wants to be reunited with defender Robert Huth, as one of his top targets.

Pulis insists he has the final say on transfers and worked with Huth at Stoke City, where he has fallen down the pecking order this season.

And Newcastle United have apparently joined North-East rivals Sunderland in the race for Baggies' club-record signing Brown Ideye.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa are apparently closing in on a £2.5million move for Manchester City outcast Scott Sinclair, who is desperate to leave the club.

Sinclair endured a disappointing loan spell at West Brom last season, but Villa manager Paul Lambert believes he can get him displaying the kind of form he showed for Swansea City.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium.
