Transfer Rumours - December 12
Expressandstar.com brings you all of the latest transfer talk from Wolves, West Brom, Aston Villa and Walsall.
We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.
WOLVES
Former Wolves favourite Sylvan Ebanks-Blake has gone on trial at League One side Preston North End, their manager Simon Grayson has confirmed.
The 28-year-old, whose most successful years came at Molineux between 2007 and 2013, has been without a club since leaving Mick McCarthy's Ipswich Town in the summer.
WEST BROM
West Brom are adamant they won't sell striker Saido Berahino in the January transfer window, but Italian giants Inter Milan may be the next to test their resolve.
The Baggies have slapped a £24million price tag on the England international which, apparently, Inter and their new manager Roberto Mancini are prepared to meet.
Should he make the move, the 21-year-old would become the first British player to be signed by the club since Robbie Keane in 2000.
Albion have their own transfer targets at home and in Europe, where they are tracking French club Toulouse's Ivorian full-back Jean-Daniel Akpa-Akpro, along with Sunderland and Crystal Palace.
And they remain interested in Bournemouth defender Steve Cook, although Leicester City have entered the race to bring in the highly-rated stopper from the Championship Cherries.
ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa and Sunderland have targeted Scotland captain Darren Fletcher, who is rapidly falling down the pecking order at Manchester United, as a big January signing.
The 30-year-old only has the rest of the season left on his contract at Old Trafford, so a cut-price deal could be negotiated with the Red Devils.
Villa are also looking at Costa Rica playmaker Bryan Ruiz, 29, who has been looking for a way out of Fulham all season after their relegation to the Championship.
WALSALL
All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
