Recent Wolves trialist Max Clayton has joined Championship rivals Bolton Wanderers on a similar basis. No deal could be struck with League One side Crewe Alexandra for the 20-year-old striker.

West Brom could make a late move to sign Italian veteran Amauri, 34, after Udinese passed on the chance to keep him in his homeland. He's thought to be available from Parma.
ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa have denied they have made an approach to sign John Arne Riise, despite the player's claims to the contrary. The 33-year-old defender is a free agent after leaving Fulham.
