Antonio Luna gets ready to say Villa goodbye
Hellas Verona are closing in on the signature of Villa defender Antonio Luna after a lengthy negotiation process.
Luna joined from Sevilla last summer on a three-year deal, but it looks as though his time is up.
The 23-year-old made a great start under Paul Lambert and netted on his league debut in a 3-1 win over Arsenal. However, he struggled to hold down a spot following the turn of the year and managed only one league outing in 2014.
The defender is reported to have been seeking an exit and looks set to be handed that opportunity by the Italian outfit.
Meanwhile, Lambert and referee Howard Webb have backed the introduction of vanishing spray in the Premier League.
This summer's World Cup was the first major tournament to include the use of the shaving foam-like spray to mark out the 10-yard distance at free-kicks.
Lambert said: "I think it's going to be a really good thing and I think the World Cup proved that."
Webb added: "It's visual and it's easy to follow. I think it's something that's useful."
