We are not saying they are true – just that they're out there.

ALBION

West Brom are hoping to secure a double transfer swoop before Saturday's big kick-off - starting off with the signing of Czech Republic international Matej Vydra - and they have also re-opened talks with Manchester City over a deal for Scott Sinclair.

However, Sunderland and West Ham could also be in the running for striker Vydra, who spent last season on loan at Watford, scoring 20 goals.

Bolton manager Dougie Freedman has confirmed that he would be interested in Albion defender Craig Dawson, should he become available, after fans called for the former loanee to be signed during their 1-1 draw with Reading on Saturday.

Albion also sent scouts to watch young Norwegian Fredrik Semb who has has made over 78 appearances for Odd. They will face competition from Everton and Munchen Gladbach for his signature though.

WOLVES

Striker Kevin Doyle is set to sign for Premier League newboys Hull in a £3m deal, but the the Republic of Ireland international will need to take a 50% pay cut on his £40,000-a-week wages.

Sochaux are keen to sign Wolves' winger Razak Boukari, 26, as a replacement for Ryad Boudebouz if they lose the Algerian to Aston Villa this summer.

VILLA

Aston Villa scouts watched Sochaux winger Ryad Boudebouz in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Evian. The 23-year-old is an Algerian international, although he played for birth nation France at under-17 and under-19 level.

Meanwhile, Darren Bent is said to have agreed terms with newly-promoted Crystal Palace as the rumours over the former England striker's future continue.

And youngster Samir Carruthers has joined League One club MK Dons on loan.

WALSALL
