Mick McCarthy apparently wants to sign Kenwyne Jones in a bid to boost his strike force.

Wolves and West Brom are both said to be interested in a possible move for Craig Gardner - if he's allowed a move from Sunderland back to the Midlands.

ASTON VILLA

Queens Park Rangers are said to be interested in testing Villa's resolve over star striker Darren Bent.

Villa have been linked with both Kenwyne Jones and Bobby Zamora.

Chelsea's young midfielder Josh McEachran has been told he can go out on loan in January, in order to help his development. Aston Villa, Bolton, Swansea City and Fulham are all interested.
