Derby County boss Nigel Clough has insisted that he sees defender John Brayford as part of the club's long-term future amid speculation that Albion are planning a £3m move for the 23-year-old in January.

Joe Mattock may still have a future at Albion, with coach Michael Appleton claiming that he has upped his game in training in recent weeks and can compete with Nicky Shorey for the left-back slot.

West Brom coach Michael Appleton believes Chris Wood's loan move to Birmingham will stand him in good stead for his future and a decision will be made about whether to bring him back into the Albion squad when the deal expires in November.

Eagle-eyed fans may have spotted that Carlos Cueller was missing from the Aston Villa 2011/12 team photo, which was released yesterday. The Spaniard has been linked with a possible move away from Villa Park in January.
