16:55: Today comes to an end for our teams in the region and a draw is not quite good enough for Wolves, who remain in the Premier League relegation places tonight after Fulham come from behind to snatch a draw at Molineux.

It was a more impressive point for Albion who held Tottenham at White Hart Lane, taking the lead and then coming from behind to grab a draw that all-but confirms the Baggies' safety in the Premier League.

Birmingham are another club nearly safe from the drop but they were well and truly hammered at Liverpool today, Blues going down 5-0 at Anfield this afternoon.

Villa faced a physical battle with Stoke the visitors ahead and had to come from behind but in Darren Bent they have a striker they can depend on, his seventh goal for the club earning a draw.

Walsall picked up a point against Sheffield Wednesday but it was not enough to lift them out of the League One relegation places, the Saddlers are fourth-bottom on goal difference going into Monday's trip to Oldham.
