16:55: Another day at the business end of the Premier League season and Roy Hodgson's unbeaten run as boss of Albion is over, despite taking the lead against Chelsea, with the champions coming from behind to run out 3-1 winners at the Hawthorns.

There was late drama for Villa today and it went their way with the stoppage time winner that saw them beat West Ham at Upton Park, which is good news for Wolves and the home side's other immedate rivals in the relegation zone.

Birmingham nudged a step closer to Premier League safety and ensured an unhappy return to St Andrew's for their former manager Steve Bruce, dragging Sunderland into the drop mire in the process with a 1-0 win.

Walsall's hopes of avoiding relegation from League One took another hit with a home defeat to already-promoted Brighton and what a contrast for their visitors, who are crowned champions with the win.

Wolves are not in action until Fulham are the visitors to Molineux next Saturday, but are only three points from safety after defeats for survival rivals West Ham, Blackpool and Blackburn this afternoon.

Wolves are not in action this weekend due to Stoke's involvement in the FA Cup semi-final and next face a potentially-pivotal home game against Fulham next Saturday.
