16:55: It's all over for our teams in the region today and a whirlwind afternoon for Albion sees them pull off a win at Sunderland that takes them to 10th place in the Premier League tonight and well on the way to survival.
There's no such luck for Wolves, who remain deep in the relegation mire after defeat in the early kick-off against Everton at Molineux and, at 3-0 down, the game was effectively over at half-time.
The outlook is a bit brighter for Birmingham after they picked up a point at Blackburn today and, with a three point cushion and a game in hand on the bottom three, Blues' Premier League status is theirs to lose.
It's not the same story for Walsall who, despite some much improved form recently, saw their League One relegation fears heighten with defeat at Plymouth today, leaving the Saddlers three points from safety.
Villa host Newcastle tomorrow with revenge in mind, after a 6-0 drubbing in the reverse fixture at St James' Park earlier in the season.

12:30: The Premier League survival fight continues for our teams in the region this weekend and first up it's Wolves, who could heap the pressure on their relegation rivals ahead of the 3pm kick-offs, with Everton the visitors to Molineux in the early game.
Albion make the long trip north to take on an up-and-down Sunderland side but the Baggies' are still unbeaten under boss Roy Hodgson and, after the famous victory over Liverpool, will fancy their chances of nudging closer to safety at the Stadium of Light.
Birmingham, too, go away from home to face another inconsistent side in Blackburn but Blues were another to throw the relegation race wide open by beating Bolton last weekend and, with a decent result at Ewood Park, their Premier League status could be theirs to lose tonight.
All Villa can do is sit and wait as they prepare to host Newcastle tomorrow at 4pm, the team that inflicted a 6-0 defeat on them at St James' Park earlier in the season.
Walsall's fight to stay in League One is also approaching crunch time as the Saddlers return to action after a two-week break at Plymouth today, with Dean Smith's men looking to climb back out of the relegation places.
