WOLVES/VILLA

Aston Villa are reported to be battling Liverpool for the signature of Wolves' England international winger Matt Jarvis. However, Mick McCarthy has issued a 'hands off' warning to his suitors saying "there is no reason at all why we have to sell anybody."

VILLA

Gerard Houiller is keen to sign Jarvis as the rumours of Ashley Young's summer exit hot up. Manchester United or Liverpool seem the most likely destinations.

Meanwhile, the Villains are also interested in Blackburn's Croatian international, Nikola Kalinic. The promising striker has been out-of-favour since Steve Kean took over at Ewood Park.

BLUES

Birmingham City are said to be one of a host of English clubs looking at Motherwell winger Chris Humphrey in the summer. Liverpool and Bolton are also said to have sent scouts up to Fir Park to look at him.
