Mark Lloyd banks on Shropshire backing in Italy

Punching plumber Mark Lloyd is hoping for Shropshire backing as he attempts to complete a boxing Italian Job.

Shifnal's Lloyd has now received confirmation his European Union welterweight shot Luciano Abis on April 15 will be held in Capoterra in Cagliari.

Tickets will cost 20 and 35 euros and Lloyd is hopeful for some backing in Italy.

"I've spoken to quite a few people who said they would be interested in coming so hopefully, now the venue has been confirmed, they will come out and cheer me on," said the 35-year-old.
