Albion legend Tony Brown and charity runner 'Blind Dave' Heeley have become official ambassadors for the Baggies' community programme.

The duo have joined Baggies-mad Adrian Chiles as official ambassadors of the Albion Foundation, which promotes the club in the community.

Television presenter Chiles became an ambassador last season and he has now been joined by 'Bomber' Brown, Albion's record goalscorer, and 'Blind Dave,' who is a committed Baggies supporter.

Chiles, a West Stand season-ticket holder, said: "Both Bomber and Blind Dave have become iconic figures in the West Bromwich area and beyond. I'm delighted they have also been appointed as ambassadors.

"The work of the Albion Foundation continues to go from strength to strength and is making a huge impact on the lives of local people, both young and old."

Brown said: "It is vital that a football club has a strong bond with its local community and the Albion Foundation plays a key role in reaching out to the fans.

"I supported several Foundation events last season and saw first-hand the tremendous work the staff do. It's a real honour to be asked to be an ambassador."

Blind Dave added: "I'm rarely stumped for words, but I came pretty close when I was asked to be an ambassador for West Bromwich Albion Football Club via the Albion Foundation.

"It's something all Baggies fans dream of and I'm delighted to support the Foundation's work.

"My message, and that of the Foundation, not only goes out to the members of the disability sport teams but to everyone, whether they're blind, deaf, disabled or able-bodied.

"That message is stop worrying about what you can't do and concentrate on what you can do."
