Walsall's tale of woe continuted as they were beaten for a fifth successive game by in-form Swindon.
Saddlers boss Chris Hutchings' call for his team to start well was blown apart by Alan Sheehan's opener after just 10 minutes, although Reuben Reid equalised in the second-half.
However, Vincent Pericard struck again within minutes for a goal that was really no way back from for the home side.
Sheehan hads ensured they got off to the worst possible start, with what looked like a cross beating goalkeeper Jonny Brain to creep in the near post.
Reid, on loan from Albion, got his fourth goal of the season in the 70th minute, seizing to slam home a loose ball after goalkeeper David Lucas could only parry Jonathan Macken's effort.
That gave the Saddlers hope of a point but Pericard popped up four minutes later, the one-time Juventus striker finishing clinically after being played in by Sean Morrison.
