Reuben Reid scored the winner on his debut as Walsall came from behind to beat 10-man Plymouth.
The Albion loan signing set up the first goal and then settled the game in the second-half, after substitute Paul Marshall had equalised Joe Mason's strike before the half-hour.
Reid was partnering Alex Nicholls in attack with the other new striker signed this week, Jonathan Macken, not risked because of a slight calf strain.
But it was Marshall who was the star of the show for the Saddlers, with his intervention much needed after Plymouth had taken a 29th minute lead.
No-one picked up Mason as he made a run into the Walsall box, Kari Arnason playing the ball in to the teenage striker, who squeezed the ball past goalkeeper Jonny Brain for the opener.
There was further bad news f0r the Saddlers on the stroke of half-time, as Steve Jones had to be replaced with a knee injury.
Jones is now set to undergo a scan early next week to assess the full extent of the damage.
His replacement Marshall made an immediate impact eight minutes into the second-half, after Reid floated over an inch-perfect cross for the midfielder to head home his first goal for the club.
If that turned frowns upside down for the Saddlers, Reid's debut goal in the 69th minute had them practically dancing in the aisles.
Alex Nicholls bombed forward to start an attack and his ball through landed at the feet of Reid via Julian Gray, with the striker making no mistake to score what proved to be the winner.
